I was so in love with how my crochet market bag turned out that when I saw the new Lion Brand Fast Track yarn I knew I had to try it and I am not disappointed with the results. Now it’s your turn!!!
With just a few adjustments my market bag turned into more of a beach bag (in other words a lot bigger and I love me a big bag…who doesn’t!!)
Updated Crochet Market Bag Pattern
Materials
2 skeins of Lion Brand fast Track in color of your choice
8mm or L sized hook
Tapestry Needle
Medium Sized White Button
Pattern Changes
In original pattern it calls for 20 rows of v stitch, but when using this yarn i felt that only doing 18 was perfect but that is up to you. Everything else stayed the same!!!
I even had some leftover yarn that I made into a detachable water bottle holder!!! And here’s the pattern for that:
(working in continuous rounds)
Single crochet 6 in a magic ring (6 stitches)
Increase in each stitch around (12 stitches)
*Single crochet 1, increase in next stitch*, repeat 6 times (18 stitches)
Ch 1, working in back loops only single crochet around (18 stitches)
Single crochet in each stitch around for 8 rows slip stitch to next stitch in round
Now you make the strap which is just a chain of 30, fasten off and leave a tail to sew to make a small loop to fit around a button you will then sew onto the opposite end of the “strap”.
